Dog Fouling

Our two villages are lovely places in which to live and we try to keep them looking their best. However, dog fouling continues to be an issue in Knapton and Rufforth.

Dog mess is the most unacceptable type of litter on our streets and green spaces; it is an eyesore and a health hazard. If you are a dog owner, you have a legal duty to clean up every time your dog messes in a public place.

It has become a big issue in Knapton over recent months. Two large dog bins have been installed, one next to the recreation field and another at the start of Moor Lane.  Rufforth has bins on the cycle path and also, importantly, on the Playing Fields.

Please watch your dog and act as soon as it fouls in any public area. Try to always remember to carry dog litter bags and help keep our villages as pleasant as possible.
